Spire Gatwick Park Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated registered nurse to join our surgical team as a Junior Sister. If you join our team you will work with leading consultants many of whom have national and international reputations exposing you to innovative evidence based clinical techniques. Our consultants are drawn from the UK's top teaching hospitals and provide us with a wide range of expertise these include orthopaedic, urology, ENT, gynaecology, bariatrics, plastic, reconstructive breast, and general surgery.
Spire Gatwick Park Hospital is just a few miles away from Gatwick Airport. Central London and Victoria station are a 30 minute train ride away. The Hospital consists of two outpatient areas and a Bupa Health Assessment centre. There are two ward areas with 29 single rooms, a two bedded emergency recovery unit with a sixteen bedded day care unit, and five single rooms. There are three operating theatres, two with laminar flow.

Duties and responsibilities
- Provide exemplary planned care for patients whilst managing a team
- Ensure the team deliver effective patient care by providing appropriate clinical and managerial leadership
- Mentorship of staff and students
- Budget control
- Develop practice in the assessment of health and well being needs
- Explain clearly to patients whose needs are being assessed own and others' responsibilities and how they inter-relate
- Ensure that legislation, policies and procedures are correctly applied within the team
- Develop a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety and security
- Participate in the on-call rota circa 1 week per month
Who we are looking for
You will be an NMC Registered Nurse with a minimum of 18 months surgical experience and hold mentorship and post registration qualifications. Experience in Critical Care is desired.
