We have an exciting opportunity for an Oncology Senior Staff Nurse to join our team at The Princess Grace Hospital in London (W1U 5NY). Located in the heart of London’s esteemed medical district, the newly-refurbished Princess Grace Hospital offers a wide range of medical and surgical specialities. Supported by world-class doctors from leading London teaching hospitals, the hospital has 127 beds, including a purpose-built intensive care unit, as well as eight fully-equipped theatres include three laminar flow theatres. Our 19 bedded Oncology unit offers state of the art cancer treatment includes the very latest advances in chemotherapy including targeted cancer therapy as well as access to robotic surgery and irreversible electroporation.

Job Description

As the Senior Staff Nurse, working within a multidisciplinary team, you will plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of nursing care, ensuring the highest level of customer service is delivered to our patients. • Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent, position (37.5 hours per week) • Shift Pattern: Rotational - 7.30am to 8pm / 7.30pm to 8am (days, nights and weekends) • Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 per annum plus 9% shift enhancement. • Benefits: Mentorship programme training, structured career development, funded courses, health and wellbeing support system, private pension, private medical care cover, and much more.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and deliver care to meet patient and family needs. • Act as a clinical role model for all members of staff and demonstrate good clinical practice at all times. • Work well within a team, supervising, coaching and developing junior cancer services staff and deputising for the Senior Nursing team when necessary. • Contribute to research based care and other practice development initiatives. • Promote a progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care and the services offered within our Oncology unit.

Skills & Experience

• Registered General Nurse with valid NMC pin. • Substantial post registration experience with an oncology setting or similar. • Mentorship and Preceptorship experience, and a desire to work towards an ENB 998 certificate. • Motivated and forward thinking individual with excellent communication skills. • Good time management, prioritisation and supervisory skills with a passion for providing an exceptional patient experience.
