HDU and Recovery Practitioner
Spire Parkway Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Practitioner to join our inpatient HDU and Recovery units. Working within a small team, you will assist and support colleagues to provide the best possible critical care for our patients.
Spire Parkway Hospital recently completed a £9 million development programme that included a state-of-the-art Spire Specialist Care Centre and new Endoscopy Suite. It has also seen the total refurbishment of the hospital's 51 bedrooms as well as one of its five operating theatres. The Spire Specialist Care Centre offers treatment for a wide range of cancers as well a Rapid Access Breast Clinic and a One-Stop Haematuria Clinic. Spire Parkway Hospital has 2 wards with a total of 41 beds covering an array of surgical specialities. The hospital also has a 4 bedded HDU and a 7 bay day-case unit.

Duties and responsibilities
The Hospital covers a wide variety of surgical procedures. You will assess patients' health and wellbeing across a complex and changing caseload and deputise for staff when required. It will be your duty to provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information. Using your previous experience and knowledge, you will look after patients within the HDU, Critical care and recovery units. The job will require flexibility in supporting different units and assist in the delivery of care to meet patient's health and wellbeing and internally assist in developing and maintaining services.
Who we're looking for
We're looking for an experienced recovery and critical care practitioner who has qualified within Critical care. This role requires you to have strong experience within critical care and recovery. Ideally, you will have worked within a High Dependency Unit (HDU) previously and use this experience and knowledge to undertake recovery practitioner responsibilities.
