We are looking for a Senior Staff Nurse to join us on the oncology ward. You will be a caring and compassionate nurse, working as part of the multi disciplinary team delivering a high standard of care to our patients. You will be responsible for the assessment of patient care needs and for the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes.

The Cancer Centre at Bupa Cromwell Hospital prides itself on having highly-skilled, multi-disciplinary teams of surgeons and oncologists capable of treating a wide range of cancers. We have over 25 consultant radiologists to read and interpret the varied range of diagnostic scans, as well as other cancer related specialties including dermatology, gastroenterology and respiratory medicine.

The oncology department is a 29 inpatient bedded unit and chemotherapy day unit with 7 treatment chairs. The oncology service treats all forms of cancer, both solid and haematological tumours, stem cell transplants, and the only gamma knife in a private hospital. Treatments can be in the form of radiotherapy and chemotherapy. The service also offers palliative care, with dedicated team, and a breast care service.

Our staff have fantastic CPD opportunities to enhance their skills and are well supported through our buddy and mentor system and dedicated Practice Development Nurses.We train all our oncology staff in the Gold Standards Framework and are the first private hospital to do so.

We are looking for you to be:

  • NMC Registered Nurse
    Experience working within an Oncology, Medical or Surgical ward and be qualified in chemotherapy
  • Mentorship qualification
  • Team Player
  • Desire to develop professionally
