Cwm taf university Health Board

Assistant Director of Nursing

South Wales; Attractive Package

Cwm Taf University Health Board is at the heart of the community we serve, providing a wide range of integrated hospital and community-based health care services to people in Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr Tydfil.  We provide high quality, compassionate, equitable, safe care to all, employing around 8,000 people and with an annual budget of circa £600 million.  Our services and facilities are some of the most innovative and high performing in the Welsh health system and include the ground-breaking Keir Hardie University Health Park combining health and social care under one roof.  We are anticipating the transfer of healthcare services for the residents of Bridgend to us over the next twelve months which increase the size of our organisation by almost a third.  We will be committed to integrating and welcoming new staff and to transforming services for the population of Bridgend.

At a time of real opportunity in a truly integrated health and care economy, two senior positions have arisen within our high performing nursing leadership team.

Reporting to and deputising for the Director of Nursing, Midwifery and Patient Care both internally and externally, this is a critical role for the Health Board.   It represents an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious leader and professional role model to gain broad operational and corporate experience and to promote multi-disciplinary working across diverse clinical areas within and outside the Health Board.  This role is an opportunity to contribute directly to improving the health, wellbeing and the provision of health care to the people of the Cwm Taf catchment area through your strategic and inspirational leadership.
