Acute Assessment Unit

Whipps Cross University Hospital

The Acute Assessment Unit (AAU) at Whipps Cross Hospital is a busy 60 bedded medical admissions unit including ten monitored beds. We see a wide range of complex acute conditions on the unit that include level 2 patients (NIV) We also staff an Ambulatory care unit. We are looking for dynamic, motivated and hardworking individuals who will work in partnership with the Senior Nursing Team on AAU.

We welcome applicants who wish to challenge themselves further in their career. This is an excellent opportunity to rotate in the ambulatory care unit and also make a difference to the quality of care, patient safety and experience in a busy and friendly environment. Development Come and develop your acute care skills with the support of the ward PDN.

There are courses available for your own professional and personal development. There is a specific, tailored development programme for all newly qualified nurses.

Onsite Facilities Staff car parking, Onsite Nursery and Creche, easy access with public transport route operating within the Hospital Site.
