Acute medical nurses required to work on an ad basis, competitive pay rates of £18-£30 per hour.

 

HCL are looking for acute medical nurses to work in the historical city of York. York Hospital is a very large hospital with over 700 beds, the hospital offers a range of inpatient and outpatient services. It has a Accident and Emergency department and provides acute medical and surgical services, including trauma, intensive care and cardiothoracic services to the population and visitors to York and North Yorkshire.

Job description:

Acute care nurses provide individualised nursing care to critically-ill patients. You will have a variety of duties including general nursing care such as recording patient medical information, assisting during examinations and taking tissue and blood samples. Specialised duties include administering prescribed medications, typically intravenously, monitoring specialised equipment and interpreting electronic displays, such as cardiac monitors, respirators, ventilator and oxygen pumps, as well as responding to life-threatening situations.

What you`ll need to work with us:

- Be NMC registered

- At least 6 months UK NHS hospital experience, as a nurse

- Be able to commit to at least 1 shift per week

- Be able to submit 2 clinical references at the start of your application
